I have been in love with this boy since I was 9 yrs old. We would go on vacations together with my mother and my godmother (mom’s bestie and Mike’s aunt/cousin). We were young but I always would tell my Godmother that he was so cute and that I loved him so. My mom and God mother thought it was a cute crush and encouraged the “cousin” idea to get me to back off and also to avoid heart break. So for so long I admired him from afar. We reconnected after about 25 years. I had been married and separated and he was coming to a crushing end to his 20 yr relationship. We instantly became besties and counseled one another through our heart ache and storms. After his break up and a few months of just figuring it out we decided to give it a try. Tomorrow Feb 14, 2023 will be our first Valentine’s Day as a couple.
